KERABOL

KERABOL provides a complete liquid solution for horses with damaged hoof horn and dull coat. The unique combination of the gold standard ingredients biotin, zinc, selenium, manganese, and methionine ensures hoof growth and provides a natural shiny coat.

Zinc can help strengthen the immune system and protect the cells from oxidative stress. In targeted supplementation of zinc, its bioavailability plays the decisive role. Organic zinc complexes, in which zinc is bound to an amino acid (zinc chelate), are very effective. This complex can be optimally absorbed through the mucosa of the small intestine, since complex formation with other substances that reduce absorption is impossible. This compound ensures ideal availability of zinc in target cells. 

Biotin is the vitamin of greatest importance to the keratinization process. Biotin supplementation can increase the presence of cytokeratin and stimulates the differentiation of epidermal cells. Biotin also has a positive effect on the synthesis of intercellular glue and therefore increases the formation of flexible but strong horn cells. Although biotin is derived from synthesis by gut microbes in horses, supplementation with biotin can be beneficial in horses with poor hoof quality.

DL-Methionine is an essential amino acid and the precursor of keratin where it supports the elasticity of horn cells due to the presence of sulfur. The main component of horn substance is Keratin, a very resistant fibrous protein. Keratin in hoof capsule contains up to 25% of the amino acid cysteine, which is supplied by conversion of dietary methionine as main sulfur donor for providing the stability but elasticity of Keratin.

Sodium chloride, Magnesium chloride. Additives/kg: Compounds of trace elements: Zinc (as Zinc chelate of glycine hydrate) (3b607) 9050 mg, Manganese (as manganous chloride tetrahydrate) (3b501) 2970 mg, Selenium (as sodium selenite) (3b801) 25 mg. Amino acids and salts: DL-methionine technically pure (3c301) 9900 mg. Vitamins and pro-vitamins: Biotin (3a880) 1485 mg, Beta-carotene (3a160(a)) 1.39 mg. Flavouring compounds: Glycine (2b17034) 17000 mg. Analytical constituents: Moisture 86%, Crude protein 3.8%, Crude ash 2%, Crude fat 0.8%, Crude fibre 0.3%, Sodium 0.2%.

ADMINISTRATION

Adult horses (500 kg): 10 ml / day
Foals/ponies: 5 ml / day

To be mixed with the feed/water or given directly by oral syringe. In times of increased demand, 15 ml/day should be administered.
