Killitch® is a licensed and proven product designed to prevent and treat Sweet Itch in horses and ponies. Formulated as a soothing lotion, it contains the active ingredient benzyl benzoate and can be used both as a preventative measure and a treatment during the Sweet Itch season.
Prevents the onset of Sweet Itch when applied early in spring
Soothes irritated skin and reduces itching
Licensed AVM-GSL product, proven effective in horses and ponies
Easy to apply lotion formulation
Wear gloves when applying.
Apply to all affected areas by rubbing in with fingers or a soft cloth.
Initial Use: Apply 75 ml twice daily when Sweet Itch symptoms first appear.
Maintenance: Reduce to once daily, then 3–4 times per week as irritation decreases.
Keep affected areas clean by shampooing and rinsing at least once a week.
Reapply after shampooing or heavy exercise.
For horses prone to Sweet Itch, apply early in spring before symptoms appear to prevent the condition.
